Drinks are reasonably priced at this bar in Cabarita, right next to the beach.
Staff were friendly and service was of a reasonably high standard. The setting is overall comfortable, modern and roomy.
Our group of four were dining at the dinner service. The restaurant was not busy with many spare tables. Meals were duly decided and ordered at the till.
Entrees which had been ordered arrived quickly. The seafood tasting plate was very tasty, with some of the best calamari ever sampled.
There was unfortunately a problem we encountered with main meals arriving before entrees had been cleared. In fact we were still working on entrees so they hadn’t yet been finished. There was a scramble to clear the plates so the mains could be set down. Two of which had arrived, with long wait for the next two.
However in the end, meals were all good and enjoyed. With a view through to the below beach, the setting is certainly a big plus.
We were invited to spend a night over the weekend at this beautiful location, near the top of NSW. The resort is right next to the beach with surf club across the road, large modern pub and some quirky little shops underneath.
This is the view you wake up to, if the unit is beach facing. Tough life :).
The resort itself sits around the middle of the bay. Units are large open plan and very spacious. It would be extremely easy to live in one of these beach facing, fully self contained units. There are walkways next to the large expanse of beautiful sandy beach. Plenty of choice for a morning or evening stroll.
Surfers and body boarders enjoy the swells close to the point. Wooden walkways and steps lead you to the very top of the point where the view is stunning. Early on the Sunday morning there were a number of people taking advantage of the vistas including the rising sun and the pure tranquility of the area.
A very relaxing, off the beaten track, place to visit. A short half hour or so drive and you’re on the Gold Coast in Qld. Keep an eye out for the wildlife in Cabarita. Water dragons sun themselves around the resort, birds abound, including those who may feel the need to fly in for a quick chat if they spot you sitting on the balcony.
