Well known for the fresh produce and wineries, Stanthorpe is a popular destination for Brisbanites seeking a break from city life.
An easy drive, less than 3 hours from Brisbane, the Granite Belt is definitely worth the drive. Staying with friends over the weekend, we enjoyed a Sunday Breakfast at their choice of local cafe. I can see why Cosmo is their favourite.
Inside and outside dining choices exist, with an expansion through into the shop next door, in progress at the moment. The day we visited, the outside area was already full, however we found a free table inside.
Everyone was rugged to the nines, yes there was a chill in the breeze, but perhaps these were the Brisbanites enjoying the chance to rug up and wear those clothes you don’t get much of chance to in Brisbane! Service is friendly, meals were superb, making for an overall very pleasant experience. Personally, I enjoyed this salmon stack, beautifully fresh, well presented, overall a delightful way to kickstart the day.
The big brekky above was enjoyed by a couple of people at our table, a very filling, belly warming breakfast.
For a country cafe, the service, food and presentation would compete with many city cafes.
I would highly recommend checking out this cafe in Stanthorpe, the new addition to the premises will certainly lead to enjoyable relaxing meals over a drink with friends. Although to be fair, that opportunity already exists!
Well done to the owners who have turned this place around- keep up the good work👍 !
